Druid Wars and the Path of the Fallen
Allure, the mountain city built into the cliff-face surrounding a tall wispy waterfall at the headwaters of the great Elven River. Allure houses the largest collection of magical knowledge in all of Nioch’e and some might say in all the known world. It is the city of Mages, the city of Magic and wonder. Poised at the center of Nioch’e it is a melting pot of culture, religion, and art more than anywhere else.
Allure sits on the shores of the great mountain lake to the south, and plunges itself off the massive cliff-face overlooking the great northern forest of the elves. Many houses actually being built into the cliff-face itself. Mixed architecture and cultural influences reveal just how diverse the city actually is, many parts clearly having influences from other races and countries. Dozens of great universities founded in the city itself feed a fresh and vital population to the city while many move on after being given an education the truly talented mages stay and maintain the Headquarters of the Mages Guild.
The Crystal Tower is beset on a great balcony surrounding the break of the falls, a close knit cabal of talented mages tend to the tower, literally growing it much like a Bonsai tree. The tower is seen as a great accomplishment for the guild and is able to project magical power over great distances. While the city itself rests above the maximum height of skyships, the Kaloan Empire did attempt to invade Allure after the city banned trade to Kaloa for political purposes. As the skyships approached the cliff-face beneath the city the mages of Allure channeled powerful lighting spells through the tower and devastated the enemy fleet before any assault could be staged. Since then any notion of assault on Allure has been dismissed.
